Safety Information
Oil Products:
All oil products contain a carrier oil, and are safe to use directly on the skin or in the bath.
Always Remember:
- Do not ingest
- Keep out of the reach of children
- Avoid contact with eyes
- Always do a patch test
Pregnancy:
The following oils should not be used during pregnancy, as they may harm the mother and developing baby:
- Basil (Ocymum basilicum)
- Clary Sage (Salvia sclaria)
- Hyssop (Hyssopus officinalis)
- Juniper (Juniperis communis)
- Marjoram (Origanum marjorana)
- Myrrh (Commiphora myrrha
- Sage (Salvia officinalis)
The following oils should be avoided during the first 3 or 4 months of pregnancy, and used cautiously during the remaining months.
It is a good idea to seek advice from your doctor before using essential oils when pregnant.
- Fennel sweet (Foeniculum vulgare)
- Peppermint (Mentha peperata)
- Rose (Rosa centifolia)
- Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis)
Avoid Fennel, Rosemary, Hyssop, Sage, Basil and Thyme if you suffer from epilepsy or high blood pressure.
All products should be kept out of sunlight and shaken well before use. No artificial preservatives are used and for best results keep creams and oil refrigerated.
